“Compact Laundry Shop – Our First Design Competition Entry”

This project marks our team’s first participation in a design competition. It is a concept for a compact laundry shop, inspired by something very familiar to all of us — the washing machine.

The design takes cues from the form and aesthetics of washing machines, reinterpreted through the lens of contemporary Thai architecture. The result is a building form and material palette that evoke the image of a washing machine — something both practical and iconic in everyday life.

The building’s exterior reveals the raw, authentic texture of the materials used, emphasizing honesty in design. This is contrasted with bold red accents, which convey a sense of speed and efficiency while enhancing the brand’s identity with a touch of sophistication.
